Greetings and Welcome to my Website,

BEBOP BICYCLE is my book that was eight years in the making and it's been great fun hearing back from you who have ordered it so far.  It is available at the contacts shown below.  These spontaneous portraits offered me a different way of shooting my subjects - without having the control of studio lighting, background, or the luxury of time.  Each "session" had a two-minute time limit and all were done with available light and shot on slide film.

Since 1985 I have had a busy portrait studio in New York City, and have also photographed concerts, theatrical productions, CD covers and live recording sessions. My work has appeared in galleries, playbills, newspapers and magazine articles over the years.

This collection evolved from a photo series I did of jazz musicians all wearing the same wacky pair of "bicycle glasses." I hope you'll enjoy this unusual view of these talented people, away from their instruments and off the bandstand.
